Rosacea is a chronic skin condition characterized by facial flushing, red skin, pimples, swelling, dilated blood vessel on facial skin. Rosacea affects all ages and has four subtypes, but it is most common in women between ages 30 and 50.While genetic predisposition is the most important etiologic factor, a multitude of external factors can flare rosacea including among others sun exposure, heat, stress, alcohol, caffeinated beverages, spicy foods, cheese and certain skin care products. While there is no cure for rosacea, minimizing exposure to factors that trigger rosacea is helpful. Our therapists specialize in the treatment of rosacea. We use a customized skin care program to minimize the out break of rosacea.
